Welcome to Torch\'s Artist page. In the upcoming weeks I will be adding new R&B, Hip Hop and EDM club bangers online for your listening pleasure! Comments and Feedback is welcome!

I’m abandoning the “DJ” label and this article will tell you why!

As an Artist or a skilled individual, I’m sure you have run into this situation. You have put in years at your craft and through the professional years, have become who you are now. However, due to technology and ignorance after one week on a computer an individual says they are a DJ. With all honesty some actually are. They have that natural talent to be one. But, in most cases this is not true. But, they call themselves Djs and quite honestly, A club may not know until they can’t figure out why no one is dancing. You see, there’s a Difference to being a “PRO” DJ and “A” DJ. But, not too many people notice this distinction…until it’s too late. I could go on, but my only conclusion is to change my label from “DJ” to “Party Rocker”. This term was used back in the day, when they referred to DJs as “The Chief Party Rocker”. A “Party Rocker” is an Adept Mix Master, Entertainer and Emcee. This person could lose his or her laptop and still “rock the party”. Since times have changed, I will adjust with them and allow the “Laptop” generation their due respect. So, for now on, Please refer to me as “The Party Rocker” Torch. Don’t worry, I won’t get mad at you if the “D”(DJ)IMG_0219 word slips!

Peace
