Music Artists: Be Prepared for Success
Ok, What do you do after someone likes your music? The more important question is what do you do before?
Let’s keep it real. It’s not ALL about the music, though we wish it was. LOOKS and the WAY YOU LOOK MATTERS. You should have the below items ready, just in case your music starts to get played.
1. PK (press kit) Basically a Bio, photos and promo stuff. I could talk all about it, but it’s been all over the internet.
2. Website
3. Documented Method- Some people you come in contact with, will want to know that you can “do it again”. You’ll lose value if you come off as a “one hit wonder”. Don’t show them this formula unless they have a deal in front of you. Even then, you may not want to show them. Not the whole thing anyways!
4. Don’t come off desperate. Don’t make it seem like if you don’t get the gig/recording deal you’ll die. They may sign you, but you may get PIMPED.
5. Don’t come off as a “d**k or stuck up. Until you get to making millions of Dollars, keep the Ego in the closet as best you can.
