Welcome to Torch\'s Artist page. In the upcoming weeks I will be adding new R&B, Hip Hop and EDM club bangers online for your listening pleasure! Comments and Feedback is welcome!

Music Artist Submission and Distribution

This is how I have this music submission thing setup for success. There will be 4 categories.

1. R & B, Neo Soul, Slow paced Pop
2. Club Banger- Hip Hop/Rap
3.  Fast Dance Music (I call em 128s cause most of them run at that speed) This could be EDM, Fast Paced RnB, Hip Hop, Pop or Rock)
4. Vegas Club Bangers (All Genre’s of dance music from Vegas’s local Artists)

Even though a CD can hold about 17 Jams on it. I will only burn 10 per CD. Per week. This will allow DJ’s to listen closer to the Jams that are on the CDs and reduce “skip overs”. You should know that if you have cussing on your tracks, there’s very little chance it will get on the Radio. With this knowledge you should consider making a “club” track and “radio” edit.

IF YOU WANT TO GET SPINS IN VEGAS CLUBS:

I’m new here, but even I realize that MOST of the big clubs on the strip play EDM or variations of it. If you are rapper, you are versatile and dead set on getting famous in Vegas, you better move that tempo up into the 128 zone. The rappers who perform here at these large clubs are SUPER famous and already are established, so they get a “pass”. I believe I’m being accurate when I say they play 80% EDM/POP to 20% Slow paced Rap in Vegas Clubs. I’m not telling you to change your style or who you are. I’m just telling you what to expect when it comes to getting spins down here in Vegas, in the Clubs. DJs do play rap, but it’s minimal compared to ATL, L.A. or the S.F. Bay Area. A vegas DJ knows he/she’s getting minimal spins when it comes to rap music, so it’s hard to ask them to play your music even though it make sound better than what they are used to playing.

send all submissions to djtorch@live.com

Please have your music copy written in some form!!! I cannot protect you when the music is handed over to other people.

HOW DO I JUDGE THE MUSIC

I use my 20+ years of “music filtering” experience to decide what bangs and what needs work. I’m looking for music that will make people DANCE . Some Jams will get a “pass”. But, I’m not sending it to a Club DJ unless it will make ASSES MOVE! I’m sure you understand why. Why you may not know, is that I have others who listen to the music with me and they may not even have the same taste. So, you are getting a fair shake.
